About Us
AIRO per our constitutions comprised of American Indians and their Allies, we comes together for encouraging awareness and understanding of all Indigenous people. Through Indigenous pride, philosophy, ways of knowing and doing, we hope to make the university and world a better place for all. We come together to support one another and to help eliminate stereotypes and increase visibility of the peoples and cultures of all Native Nations. We have been a student organization since 1968 and will continue to be a part of the land and campus of this area. We work together to be successful in college, recognizing the many challenges that are present but always keeping our sense of humor!
