Mission The purpose of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers of the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point is to promote engagement in and around: backcountry hunting and angling; the conservation of wilderness, backcountry, and public lands; the protection of fish and wildlife that rely on clean water and wilderness; and the public’s access to these recreational opportunities. The Chapter will serve by creating a community bringing together students, faculty, and staff and providing an environment conducive for veteran, novice, and aspiring outdoors-people alike to learn and participate in Chapter gatherings.MEETING INFORMATION: Mondays @ 7:00PM in TNR 320; usually biweekly but join our email list to receive updates!
Membership BenefitsMembers are a part of community of likeminded Outdoorsmen & Women, passionate about conservation, the protection of our natural spaces, and of course hunting, fishing, and the outdoors in general. As a member you get the opportunity to get certifications and trainings like chainsaw use. Members also get opportunities for awesome experiences like Vortex factory range days or factory tours, habitat restoration workdays, group hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking trips, as well as a chance to get to go to BHA National Rendezvous in Bozeman Montana. There are multiple prizes given out as meetings and we often have pizza!
