Job Title
Butcher Shop Assistant
Job Description
I am looking for someone to help cut, process and package deer. We will also be processing beef & hogs. Frontpage Processing is a small butcher shop between Amherst and Iola. We are just into our 2nd season of deer. We run an on farm slaughter trailer for beef and hogs where the carcass is brought back to the butcher shop to be cut, processed and packaged. We also are a drop off site for deer processing. Last year we did roughly 250 deer throughout the deer season. We are already expecting that number to be much higher.
Qualifications
Be willing to learn how to cut, wrap, and grind meat. A little knowledge of the butcher process would be nice, but not necessary. As long as you are willing to learn, I will help train you.
