For over 20 years, Student Government has hosted this event, picking up trash on the streets and sidewalks surrounding campus. As I'm sure you know, Pointers tend to have a lot of fun Homecoming night, and we just want to make sure we're cleaning up after that to comply with UWSP's commitment to sustainability and maintain good relations between the university and the city.
The Homecoming Cleanup will take place the day after Homecoming: Sunday, the 11th of October, at 10am. We'll be starting out at Debot Field and splitting up from there. Maps, garbage bags, and gloves will be provided. Additionally, pizza will be provided afterwards.
You can either sign up for the soon-to-be created SPIN event for the cleanup or email me a list of interested people or organizations, along with any preference on the pizza topping or dietary restrictions!
