About Us
Steiner Hall is one of the 13 residence hall communities at UWSP. It is located in the South DeBot Quad and is proud to be called home by new, returning, and transfer students. Steiner is also the home of the IDEA Community. More information regarding this community can be found at www.uwsp.edu/housing. Since 2023, Steiner Hall now proudly hosts SHAAPE, or the Steiner Hall Alcohol Awareness Programming and Events. This is an offshoot of the previous fundraising efforts put on by Steiner Hall since 1981, all of which is considered a Steiner Hall tradition dedicated to raising awareness regarding safe alcohol use. The hall houses all genders in a "scattered" room configuration. The second floor restrooms are designated as all-gender, meaning anyone can use this restroom regardless of gender; other restrooms are single-sexed. Steiner Hall was renovated in summer 2009.
