Mission
United Nations Student Organization strives to bring students together to understand the process of how international policies are created. Members will attend two conferences, one in Fall and one in Spring, to put their skills and knowledge to the test. UNSO will attend the American Model UN conference in Chicago for the Fall 2024 semester. Where they will represent Spain and the Philippines. Students will practice their networking, policy writing, and public speaking skills to represent different stances of their selected country. In the Spring 2025 semester UNSO will be attending the National Model UN conference (country still to be assigned) in New York City. The club has been attending this conference for 15+ years and has received awards for their work. Recently in 2024 they received an honorable mention delegation award when representing Cuba. As well as in 2022 when representing Iceland. If you are interested you can reach out to President Maddie Baeten or Faculty Advisor Professor Collins.
