AIRO per our constitutions comprised of American Indians and their Allies, we comes together for encouraging awareness and understanding of all Indigenous people. Through Indigenous pride, philosophy, ways of knowing and doing, we hope to make the university and world a better place for all. We come together to support one another and to help eliminate stereotypes and increase visibility of the peoples and cultures of all Native Nations. We have been a student organization since 1968 and will continue to be a part of the land and campus of this area. Some examples of our events include: Macro-invertebrate (water bug) sampling, Lake Joanis turnover sampling, AWRA Wisconsin State Conference and much more.
Develop an awareness of water resource issues, employment possibilities and inter-chapter activities to both the university and Stevens Point community. Establish a common meeting ground for those concerned with water resources and provide exposure to career professionals, collection, organization and dissemination of ideas and information about water resources science and technology.

Any Swing Goes is a high-energy partner dance environment for those who are either new to ballroom dance or want to brush up and expand upon what they know. We meet every Thursday at 6:30PM in the Allen Fitness Center Studio A. For questions, email us at any.swing.goes@uwsp.edu.

Our mission is to educate students, professors, staff, faculty, and community members on various types of ballroom dance, including East Coast swing, waltz, tango, salsa, and polka. We do this to promote exercise and cultural dance education through the means of socialization.

Aspiring Educators is an organization that provides opportunities for future teachers to gain useful information and experience that will be helpful throughout their educational career, but also when they enter the workforce.

The Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC) and its student program help lead education majors to a brighter future. The student program exists to help your smooth transition from the campus to the classroom and to help you get the edge as a teacher in those very important first years.

Although your university does a great job preparing you to assume your instructional responsibilities, very few programs are offered which explore the critical non instructional aspects of the profession. This is where Aspiring Educators comes in to supplement your formal education. We help you learn about salaries, discipline certification requirements and current issues in the education profession.

Aspiring Educators is made up of hundreds of university students across the state and is part of the National Education Association Student Program (NEA-SP). We used to be called Student Wisconsin Education Association (StWEA).

The Association of Art Historians and Scholars (AAHS) exists to serve any and all students that have an interest or passion for Art History. You do not have to be an Art History student to join!

Despite our incredibly formal name, we like to keep things relaxed and casual.

Some recent highlights of our organization's activities include:
-A trip to Madison for the Chazen Museum of Art
-A trip to Chicago for the Art Institute of Chicago and the Field Museum

We are currently conducting meetings every other Thursday@5:00PM (starting 9/12) . Nearly all meetings occur in NFAC 285 (the Art History lecture hall).

The purpose of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers of the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point is to promote engagement in and around: backcountry hunting and angling; the conservation of wilderness, backcountry, and public lands; the protection of fish and wildlife that rely on clean water and wilderness; and the public’s access to these recreational opportunities. The Chapter will serve by creating a community bringing together students, faculty, and staff and providing an environment conducive for veteran, novice, and aspiring outdoors-people alike to learn and participate in Chapter gatherings.
