The Adventure Club is an organization dedicated to the exploration of the unknown; to travel to parts beyond for the sole sake of the journey. These journeys consist of various physically demanding outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, backpacking, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, and any other conceivable activity of this nature. We aim to increase members’ knowledge and experience of these activities through jaunts and journeys throughout the state and country. The goal of the Adventure Club is to subsidize travel expenses and maintain a collection of community equipment to facilitate these expeditions so that UWSP students can be enriched by some of the most fulfilling pursuits on earth.

The purpose of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers of the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point is to promote engagement in and around: backcountry hunting and angling; the conservation of wilderness, backcountry, and public lands; the protection of fish and wildlife that rely on clean water and wilderness; and the public’s access to these recreational opportunities. The Environmental Educators and Naturalist Association (EENA) is a student organization which serves students interested in educating on the natural world. EENA aims to provide sources for career development through volunteer experiences, professional networking and development as well as updates in the field of environmental education. EENA is a student chapter of the National Association for Interpretation (NAI) and works closely with them, including sending a group of students to attend their conferences each year. The Wisconsin Association for Environmental Education (WAEE) is another organization which we work closely with.

EENA is often contacted by local community organizations and schools to bring environmental education opportunities to both youth and adults. EENA hopes to send its members into the world more prepared for what lies ahead in our environmental future and confident to face the tasks before us.

To aid in the achievement of this goal, the objectives of the society are:
To provide increased communication between researchers, managers, students, teachers and others interested in the welfare of fisheries in Wisconsin
Provide the opportunity to present a unified position regarding significant fisheries matters
Provide a source of professional expertise for persons, organizations and agencies seeking information or other resources

The purpose of the UW-Stevens Point Gender-Sexuality Alliance is to provide a social, emotional, and education support group for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and ally populations on campus and in the surrounding communities. The Gender-Sexuality Alliance also acts as an educational student organization to provide greater awareness of the issues that concern the members themselves, the university, and the surrounding communities.

Any student at UWSP interested to learn more about reptiles and amphibians, biology, wildlife, or environmental education, is encouraged to join the Herpetology Society! Want to overcome a fear of reptiles and amphibians? We can help with that too! We welcome all interested students regardless of major, minor, or prior experience.


As a member of the herpetology society, you will have the opportunity to learn about reptiles and amphibians, meet and network with expert guest speakers in various fields, go on "herping" trips to survey for wild reptiles and amphibians, visit and tour zoos and aquariums behind the scenes, build your animal husbandry skills by working with the live reptiles and amphibians in our captive animal collection, participate in educational programs with live animals on campus and in the local community, get involved in undergraduate research, discover job and internship opportunities in various fields, meet other students who share common interests, and more! We maintain the beautiful scenic vivarium display in the Trainer Natural Resources building on campus as a part of our live animal collection.

Hello everyone and welcome to the History Club. We are an organization that promotes the study of history. Anyone is welcome to join, even if you are not a history major or minor. Throughout the year, our organization puts on some key events. Since 2015, the History Club has put on the Nelson Hall Haunted History tour. By putting on the haunted tours our Club promotes researching methods, enhances interview skills, helps with public speaking, and gets you involved with the UWSP community. The History Club also travels to various historical sites/museums. If you have never been to a museum such as the Fields Museum in Chicago, or been to our State Capitol, this is your chance.

The History Club also does a few low-key activities throughout the semester. Ever wanted to meet your professors face to face? Join us for meet the Professors' Night! The Ichthyology and Aquarium Science Society is a club dedicated to the study of fishes. Our lab, in which members can volunteer, houses over 50 different species of fish.

The Ichthyology Society is a great way for students who are interested in captive animal care to get involved in aquarium maintenance, fish husbandry, and research. Our club offers its members the opportunity for research through independent research projects, sampling of nearby streams and rivers, and other types of fieldwork.

Our strength lies in our grassroots and commonsense approach to solving local, regional and national conservation issues. While our interests span the spectrum of outdoor recreation and conservation activities, such as angling, birding, stream monitoring, wildlife photography and hunting, we all share one major goal: to protect and sustainably use America's rich resources, ensuring a high quality of life for all people, now and in the future.

This student chapter focuses on experiencing natural resources through community outreach programs and volunteering in conjunction with our local parent chapter (Bill Cook chapter).

Bill Cook Chapter clubhouse is located at 5341 WI-66, Stevens Point, WI 54482 (East past the Stevens Point municipal airport). The chapter grounds consist of about 153 acres of managed land that includes rifle, pistol, trap, and bow ranges for members' use. Our clubhouse provides space for education, meetings and special events.

If other clubs wish to use the grounds they must reach out to us no later then 30 day prior to their event. Club policy states that one must provide a 30 day notice and an application for use of the grounds, followed by the boards approval.

Meetings: Are held on Monday's, bi-weekly, in Room 170 of the TNR @ 5:00 pm.

Students are selected by their college for membership based on either academic standing or leadership potential. Candidacy is a nationally recognized achievement of honorable distinction. With 660 chapters, the NSLS currently has 1,031,787 members nationwide.

In addition to honorable distinction, the NSLS provides a step-by-step program for members to build their leadership skills through participation at their campus or online. The mission of Rising Voices Poetry is to provide a fun, safe environment for the students here at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. We strive to encourage individuals from any major or skill level to express themselves in a constructive environment that celebrates their efforts. Here, we practice reading our poetry and the works of established poets ranging from around the 1800s to the present day. This club also works to include and celebrate the diversity of writers and different poetic forms around the world. Additionally, we focus significant time on free writing and collaborating with one another through interactive, poetic reading and activities. We strive to establish a positive view of poetry that very few have had the opportunity to experience, so that our fellow peers may go out and share that positive experience with others.

United Nations Student Organization strives to bring students together to understand the process of how international policies are created. Members will attend two conferences, one in Fall and one in Spring, to put their skills and knowledge to the test. UNSO will attend the American Model UN conference in Chicago for the Fall 2024 semester. Where they will represent Spain and the Philippines. Students will practice their networking, policy writing, and public speaking skills to represent different stances of their selected country. In the Spring 2025 semester UNSO will be attending the National Model UN conference (country still to be assigned) in New York City. The club has been attending this conference for 15+ years and has received awards for their work. Recently in 2024 they received an honorable mention delegation award when representing Cuba. The Pointer Pep Band was a class that you could take for a general elective credit, but since the Fall of 2018, we have become a club. We are a successful growing group of musicians who are always working to achieve the highest musical standard, while also being an important part of UWSP and the Stevens Point community. Our presence on campus allows us to bring a fun and energetic atmosphere to athletic events. As an example of that, the Pointer Pep Band traveled and supported our athletes at the following events:
