The Adventure Club is an organization dedicated to the exploration of the unknown; to travel to parts beyond for the sole sake of the journey. These journeys consist of various physically demanding outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, backpacking, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, and any other conceivable activity of this nature. We aim to increase members’ knowledge and experience of these activities through jaunts and journeys throughout the state and country. The goal of the Adventure Club is to subsidize travel expenses and maintain a collection of community equipment to facilitate these expeditions so that UWSP students can be enriched by some of the most fulfilling pursuits on earth.

Any Swing Goes is a dance group that teaches primarily east-coast swing but also waltz, tango, polka and other ballroom dances! Lessons are active and fun and always start with a review of the basic of the dance we're learning so no prior dance experience is needed. If you don't have a partner, no worries! The Association of Art Historians and Scholars (AAHS) exists to serve any and all students that have an interest or passion for Art History. You do not have to be an Art History student to join!

Despite our incredibly formal name, we like to keep things relaxed and casual.

The purpose of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers of the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point is to promote engagement in and around: backcountry hunting and angling; the conservation of wilderness, backcountry, and public lands; the protection of fish and wildlife that rely on clean water and wilderness; and the public’s access to these recreational opportunities. The Chapter will serve by creating a community bringing together students, faculty, and staff and providing an environment conducive for veteran, novice, and aspiring outdoors-people alike to learn and participate in Chapter gatherings.

Baldwin Hall is one of 13 residence hall communities at UWSP. It is located in the South Debot Quad and is home to new, returning, and transfer students.

Women and men are housed in a "scattered" room configuration; restroom facilities are available on each floor for men and women (restrooms are single-sexed.) Gender neutral bathrooms are available in the lower level.

Baldwin Hall was renovated in summer 2008.

Students and staff of the University Center gathered in spring 1997 to put their ideas for the brewhaus on paper and put a plan in motion.

The department formerly known as Recreational Services was moving to Allen Center to create better access to their equipment. The space it was vacating was unique in size and structure; some paneled walls, carpeted floor, cement floor and a variety of pipes running through the ceiling. It was a "perfect" place for a coffeehouse/pub!

The organizing committee struggled for a long time with a name for the department. But after seeing the location and the budget, the "basement" theme seemed appropriate. Since a lot more than coffee and beer would be brewing in the new area, the committee combined the physical location with what was happening and came up with the "Basement Brewhaus."

To keep with the theme and the budget, the staff spent the entire summer before opening scavenging through rummage sales looking for furniture, lamps, board games and anything else in a typical basement recreation room. The staff also spent countless hours painting water pipes, putting up wall decorations and arranging furniture.​

Today, the Basement Brewhaus hosts performances, sells hot and cold beverages and provides a fun filled atmosphere.

The food pantry is staffed by student volunteers that organize food drives, raise awareness, and assist with distribution of food to those in need. The purpose of the club baseball team is to provide an opportunity for students to continue to play the game we all know and love. This team provides baseball for students that is separate to the varsity team and separate from their respective summer leagues. Our team plays ball for the NCBA; Through which we are a Division two team in the Northern Plains West Conference. We compete against teams in the past like UW-Madison, UW-Lacrosse, Winona State, and Northern Illinois to name a few. This year we will be going and facing the top dogs University of North Dakota, NDSU, University of Minnesota, Saint Thomas, and UWEC. Each year we host tryouts and encourage all who may have interest in joining the team to come. Unfortunately, we can only carry a certain amount of players so cuts have to be made each year. This is in effect a baseball team and organization. This year tryouts will be Sept 9th through Sept 11. If you are unable for any reason to make these days please reach out we are very flexible.

The College of Natural Resources (CNR) at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (UWSP) is widely regarded as the nation’s leading undergraduate natural resource program with deep roots in Wisconsin’s strong conservation heritage, inspired by pioneering leaders such as Aldo Leopold, John Muir and Gaylord Nelson. We currently have more than 10,000 alumni, over 1700 undergraduate majors and 180 faculty and staff.

The strength of our program is in its interdisciplinary approach and emphasis on hands-on field experiences. Students within the Forestry, Wildlife Ecology, Fisheries and Water Resources and Soils Disciplines participate in a summer field experience at one of our field stations or in Europe. During these summer experiences students gain knowledge and skills that they can use in real world situations. Our students within the Paper Science and Engineering Department culminate their program with a paper mill internship where they gain real world experience. Our Graduates can be found all across the globe working in various Natural Resource fields and in the Paper Science and Engineering arena.

CPS consists of four academic units, which house 19 different undergraduate majors, 9 minors, 16 graduate programs and a number of additional options.

Sentry School of Business and Economics offers bachelor’s degrees in accounting, business administration, business economics, data analytics, finance, management, marketing as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Applied Leadership and Decision-Making.

School of Education offers bachelor’s degrees in early childhood education, elementary education, physical education and special education. SOE also offers minors in early childhood special education and exceptional educational needs as wells as a master’s degrees in education and an Ed.D. in Educational Sustainability. SOE also provides the required education coursework for all UWSP teacher certification programs.

The UWSP Counseling Center provides mental health services to the UWSP campus community. We provide individual and group psychotherapy and we act as consultants for the entire campus when a student or staff member encounters a person or situation that concerns them. The UWSP Counseling Center provides education & prevention programs throughout the year, targeted at increasing awareness of mental health and preparing campus community members to be responsive when complicated situations involving mental health arise. We respect and appreciate individual differences and cultural diversity. Our staff is sensitive to the uniqueness that arises from different backgrounds, sexual orientations and gender identities, financial resources, religious affiliations, veteran statuses and levels of ability. Therapists at the UWSP Counseling Center work collaboratively with students to promote positive changes in a manner consistent with the student's own worldview. Devoted to the study of pre-seventeenth-century culture, members work to recreate the arts and skills of the Middle Ages and Early Renaissance and demonstrate to all who would watch and learn what life would have been like during the Age of Chivalry.

We practice Rapier fighting as well as Heavy Armored fighting, we do combat against one other person, as well as melee combat once you are more experienced.

Along with our fighting practices we do art and sciences, where we recreate different arts and skills that were done during medieval times, such as rope making, bookbinding, armor making, and more.

Our group also travels to SCA events, where there is the opportunity to fight in different Rapier and Heavy Armor tournaments, meet new people and see different types of arts and sciences.

**please note our SCA Fighter's Practices & A&S nights are our meetings, anyone is welcome to come to them, no experience or equipment is required**

The Fly-Fishing Club of UWSP works towards educating those in all things fly-fishing and cold water conservation. Learn to cast the fly-fishing rod in its various style. Learn to tie various flies and how to operate them in the waters (open tying nights and seminars during our meetings). Get out and fish with the officers and other members (day trips, weekend trips, camping trips, etc.) Work with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and Trout Unlimited Chapters to manage and restore numerous trout streams. As a member of the herpetology society, you will have the opportunity to learn about reptiles and amphibians, meet and network with expert guest speakers in various fields, go on "herping" trips to survey for wild reptiles and amphibians, visit and tour zoos and aquariums behind the scenes, build your animal husbandry skills by working with the live reptiles and amphibians in our captive animal collection, participate in educational programs with live animals on campus and in the local community, get involved in undergraduate research, discover job and internship opportunities in various fields, meet other students who share common interests, and more! By putting on the haunted tours our Club promotes researching methods, enhances interview skills, helps with public speaking, and gets you involved with the UWSP community. The History Club also travels to various historical sites/museums. If you have never been to a museum such as the Fields Museum in Chicago, or been to our State Capitol, this is your chance.

The History Club also does a few low-key activities throughout the semester. Ever wanted to meet your professors face to face? Join us for meet the Professors' Night! Hyer Hall is available to students who are 21 years of age or older prior to the start of the semester. All genders are housed in a "scattered" room configuration; with restroom facilities assigned as men on first and fourth, and women on second and third, and all-gender restrooms in the basement. Students will have a single room occupancy and can choose to opt out of a meal plan.

The Ichthyology and Aquarium Science Society is a club dedicated to the study of fishes. Our lab, in which members can volunteer, houses over 50 different species of fish.

The Ichthyology Society is a great way for students who are interested in captive animal care to get involved in aquarium maintenance, fish husbandry, and research. Our club offers its members the opportunity for research through independent research projects, sampling of nearby streams and rivers, and other types of fieldwork.

The Izaak Walton League of America is one of the oldest conservation organizations in the United States. It was founded in 1922, and has over 250 local chapters throughout the nation.

We're a diverse group of men and women dedicated to protecting our nation's soil, air, woods, waters and wildlife. Our strength lies in our grassroots and commonsense approach to solving local, regional and national conservation issues. While our interests span the spectrum of outdoor recreation and conservation activities, such as angling, birding, stream monitoring, wildlife photography and hunting, we all share one major goal: to protect and sustainably use America's rich resources, ensuring a high quality of life for all people, now and in the future.

This student chapter focuses on experiencing natural resources through community outreach programs and volunteering in conjunction with our local parent chapter (Bill Cook chapter).

Bill Cook Chapter clubhouse is located at 5341 WI-66, Stevens Point, WI 54482 (East past the Stevens Point municipal airport). The chapter grounds consist of about 153 acres of managed land that includes rifle, pistol, trap, and bow ranges for members' use. Our clubhouse provides space for education, meetings and special events.

If other clubs wish to use the grounds they must reach out to us no later then 30 day prior to their event. Club policy states that one must provide a 30 day notice and an application for use of the grounds, followed by the boards approval.

Meetings: Are held on Monday's, bi-weekly, in Room 352 of the TNR @ 6:00 pm.

Knutzen Hall is one of the 13 residence hall communities on the UWSP main campus. It is located in the North Debot Quad and is home to new, returning, and transfer students.

The hall has men and women assigned in a "scattered" room configuration; restroom facilities are available on each floor for men and women (restrooms are single-sexed.) As of Fall 2020, 2nd floor has an all gender restroom (with showers) available in addition to the 2 all gender restrooms in the basement (no shower).

Knutzen Hall was renovated in summer 2013.

The purpose of the Julie E Zsido Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary is to provide recognition for those individuals who have been of outstanding service to, and who have provided excellent leadership in, the advancement of the residence hall system at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. NRHH maintains an active affiliation with the national organization of NRHH and the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH).

Students are selected by their college for membership based on either academic standing or leadership potential. Candidacy is a nationally recognized achievement of honorable distinction. With 660 chapters, the NSLS currently has 1,031,787 members nationwide.

In addition to honorable distinction, the NSLS provides a step-by-step program for members to build their leadership skills through participation at their campus or online. Upon completion of the program, members receive their leadership certificate and take their place among the top student leaders at their campus and across the country.
