About Us
The Ichthyology and Aquarium Science Society is a club dedicated to the study of fishes. Our lab, in which members can volunteer, houses over 50 different species of fish. The Ichthyology Society is a great way for students who are interested in captive animal care to get involved in aquarium maintenance, fish husbandry, and research. Our club offers its members the opportunity for research through independent research projects, sampling of nearby streams and rivers, and other types of fieldwork. Come visit our lab in the Trainer Natural Resource Building (TNR), room 410! Would you like a tour of the lab? Email the club (iasssp@uwsp.edu)! Our club meetings are held every Wednesday at 6:30 pm in TNR 400 Would you like to become a member of our club? Join our club on SPIN to be added to our email list! You will get updated information on meetings, activities, and volunteer opportunities.
