About Us
The Pointer Pep Band was a class that you could take for a general elective credit. In the Fall of 2018, the group organized as a club and since the Fall of 2024, turned into an organization under Athletics. We are a successful growing group of musicians who are always working to achieve the highest musical standard, while also being an important part of UWSP and the Stevens Point community. Our presence on campus allows us to bring a fun and energetic atmosphere to athletic events. As an example of that, the Pointer Pep Band traveled and supported our athletes at the following events: The 2025 NCAA D3 Women's Basketball First Round in St. Peter, MN The 2024 NCAA D3 Men's Hockey Quarterfinals in Adrian, MI The 2023 NCAA D3 Men's Hockey Quarterfinals in Adrian, MI The 2022 NCAA D3 Women's Volleyball Second Round in St. Paul, MN The 2019 NCAA D3 Women’s Volleyball Sweet 16 in St. Thomas, MN The 2019 NCAA D3 Men’s Hockey Championship in Stevens Point, WI The 2018 NCAA D3 Men’s Hockey Semifinals in Lake Placid, NY The 2018 NCAA D3 Men's Hockey Quarterfinals in Adrian, MI The 2018 NCAA D3 Men's Basketball Sweet 16 in Platteville, WI The 2015 NCAA D3 Men’s Basketball Championship in Salem, VA The 2010 NCAA D3 Men’s Basketball Championship in Salem, VA Our Athletic program is highly successful, and the Pointer Pep Band is always willing to help bring our support and energy to our athletes, students, and fans of the games.
