The Adventure Club is an organization dedicated to the exploration of the unknown; to travel to parts beyond for the sole sake of the journey. These journeys consist of various physically demanding outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, backpacking, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, and any other conceivable activity of this nature. We aim to increase members’ knowledge and experience of these activities through jaunts and journeys throughout the state and country. The goal of the Adventure Club is to subsidize travel expenses and maintain a collection of community equipment to facilitate these expeditions so that UWSP students can be enriched by some of the most fulfilling pursuits on earth.

We meet every Tuesday in TNR 252 @ 5:00pm!

Some examples of our events include: Macro-invertebrate (water bug) sampling, Lake Joanis turnover sampling, AWRA Wisconsin State Conference and much more.
Develop an awareness of water resource issues, employment possibilities and inter-chapter activities to both the university and Stevens Point community. Establish a common meeting ground for those concerned with water resources and provide exposure to career professionals, collection, organization and dissemination of ideas and information about water resources science and technology.

Any Swing Goes is a dance group that teaches primarily east-coast swing but also waltz, tango, polka and other ballroom dances! Lessons are active and fun and always start with a review of the basic of the dance we're learning so no prior dance experience is needed. If you don't have a partner, no worries! We will find you one at the meeting or one of our officers will dance with you. We meet every Wednesday in the alumni room from 6:30pm - 8pm. Aspiring Educators is an organization that provides opportunities for future teachers to gain useful information and experience that will be helpful throughout their educational career, but also when they enter the workforce.

The Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC) and its student program help lead education majors to a brighter future. The student program exists to help your smooth transition from the campus to the classroom and to help you get the edge as a teacher in those very important first years.

Although your university does a great job preparing you to assume your instructional responsibilities, very few programs are offered which explore the critical non instructional aspects of the profession. This is where Aspiring Educators comes in to supplement your formal education. We help you learn about salaries, discipline certification requirements and current issues in the education profession.

Aspiring Educators is made up of hundreds of university students across the state and is part of the National Education Association Student Program (NEA-SP). We used to be called Student Wisconsin Education Association (StWEA).

The Association of Art Historians and Scholars (AAHS) exists to serve any and all students that have an interest or passion for Art History. You do not have to be an Art History student to join!

Despite our incredibly formal name, we like to keep things relaxed and casual.

Some recent highlights of our organization's activities include:
-A trip to Madison for the Chazen Museum of Art
-A trip to Chicago for the Art Institute of Chicago and the Field Museum

We are currently conducting meetings every other Thursday@5:00PM (starting 9/12) . Nearly all meetings occur in NFAC 285 (the Art History lecture hall).

The purpose of Backcountry Hunters & Anglers of the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point is to promote engagement in and around: backcountry hunting and angling; the conservation of wilderness, backcountry, and public lands; the protection of fish and wildlife that rely on clean water and wilderness; and the public’s access to these recreational opportunities. The Chapter will serve by creating a community bringing together students, faculty, and staff and providing an environment conducive for veteran, novice, and aspiring outdoors-people alike to learn and participate in Chapter gatherings.

Members are a part of community of likeminded Outdoorsmen & Women, passionate about conservation, the protection of our natural spaces, and of course hunting, fishing, and the outdoors in general. As a member you get the opportunity to get certifications and trainings like chainsaw use. Members also get opportunities for awesome experiences like Vortex factory range days or factory tours, habitat restoration workdays, group hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking trips, as well as a chance to get to go to BHA National Rendezvous in Bozeman Montana. There are multiple prizes given out as meetings and we often have pizza!

Baldwin Hall is one of 13 residence hall communities at UWSP. It is located in the South Debot Quad and is home to new, returning, and transfer students.

Women and men are housed in a "scattered" room configuration; restroom facilities are available on each floor for men and women (restrooms are single-sexed.) Gender neutral bathrooms are available in the lower level.

Baldwin Hall was renovated in summer 2008.

Students and staff of the University Center gathered in spring 1997 to put their ideas for the brewhaus on paper and put a plan in motion.

The department formerly known as Recreational Services was moving to Allen Center to create better access to their equipment. The space it was vacating was unique in size and structure; some paneled walls, carpeted floor, cement floor and a variety of pipes running through the ceiling. It was a "perfect" place for a coffeehouse/pub!

The organizing committee struggled for a long time with a name for the department. But after seeing the location and the budget, the "basement" theme seemed appropriate. Since a lot more than coffee and beer would be brewing in the new area, the committee combined the physical location with what was happening and came up with the "Basement Brewhaus."

To keep with the theme and the budget, the staff spent the entire summer before opening scavenging through rummage sales looking for furniture, lamps, board games and anything else in a typical basement recreation room. The staff also spent countless hours painting water pipes, putting up wall decorations and arranging furniture.​

Today, the Basement Brewhaus hosts performances, sells hot and cold beverages and provides a fun filled atmosphere.
