Job Posts

Disclaimer

We do ask employers to report your name, wage, and hours worked. This data is simply used to verify student status. Our annual report to the US Department of Education is a simple share that includes the following:

  1. Total number of students (no names) hired off-campus
  2. Estimated total earnings of all these students.

UWSP Campus Activities and Student Engagement (CASE) resources are provided free of charge to employers and to student job seekers. All hiring and compensation for work performed by student employees is handled directly between the student and the employer. CASE does not perform background checks on students applying for jobs, nor on employers posting job opportunities. Employers and students are encouraged to request reference information from each other as needed to establish qualifications, credentials and overall fit between the employer and the student applicant.

All job listings are posted at the discretion of CASE. We will not post jobs that appear to discriminate against applicants on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, age, national origin, disabled or Vietnam Era veteran status, sexual orientation, disability, or gender. CASE will not post jobs that require purchase of a product(s), a financial investment to be employed, or positions that are strictly commission-based. All posted positions are required to have an hourly wage or posted salary.

Report Questionable Employers

Have you contacted an employer and are concerned about:

  • The types of questions asked of you?
  • The conditions under which you are being asked to work?
  • How you are being treated on the job?

Land Acknowledgement

UWSP exists upon land inhabited by the original indigenous people of this area, including the Ho-Chunk, Menominee, Ojibwe, Potawatomi, and many other nations and groups that predate colonial borders. We acknowledge that with colonization Native American people have been dispossessed of their lands and irreparably changed by the actions of individuals and institutions. We acknowledge our responsibility to understand and respond to those actions. In partnership with the Native American Center, we commit to working together to honor the past, be intentional in the present, and to build our future with truth.
