About QPoCA
The Queer People of Color Alliance (QPoCA) was founded to address the lack of a consistent, affirming, and comfortable space specifically for Queer People of Color. Students navigating both racial and LGBTQ+ identities often found themselves existing between communities without fully belonging in either. In response, a group of queer students of color came together to intentionally build the space they needed.
QPoCA strives to foster education, dialogue, and community, and is committed to engaging the broader campus in meaningful conversations about intersectionality. Through programming, collaboration, and collective action, we aim to expand understanding, challenge inequities, and contribute to a campus culture rooted in equity, visibility, and liberation.
