The UWSP Climbing Wall strives to grow a responsible and inclusive climbing community within UWSP and Central Wisconsin. We believe that rock climbing is a unique sport that offers physical, mental, and social benefits to those who climb.
• Basics 5 – 7 teaches the basics of climbing for children ages 5 – 7.
• Basics 8 – 16 is for children ages 8 – 16 and teaches the basics of climbing.
• Beyond Basics, ages 6 – 16, teaches climbing techniques and skill improvement. This class is for climbers who can correctly describe the climbing tools/methods and consistently demonstrate the skills taught in the Basics Class. Instructor approval is required for enrollment in Beyond Basics. Email fitness.recreation@uwsp.edu to inquire.
